Ferrules
Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is an obnoxious and toxic gas found in crude oils and natural gas. At all 2 temperatures, H2S is corrosive to carbon steel and to most engineering alloys. Hence, H2S must be 2 2 removed from processed petroleum products and pipeline quality natural gas. All unprocessed refinery products typically contain sulphur. Therefore, the best place for removal of sulphur is in the refinery. Morever, H2S which is removed must be disposed-off in the manner that does not 2 pollute the environment. This is done by partial combustion in a Claus Process Sulphur Plant.

Pencil Die

Pencil leads are made up of Carbon-Graphite paste, which is a very hard material. This abrasive nature causes a high degree of wear on the dies during extrusion process. The surface finish of the lead and its diameter are very critical for the satisfactory performance of the leads. The leads are typically manufactured in 150 mm length and has diameters ranging from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm. During extrusion the dies should withstand a compressive pressure of around 20,000 psi & abrasion created by the hard Carbon-Graphite material.

NTB uses advanced laser cutting technology to maintain the high tolerances of ID of the ceramic die. The hardness of the ceramic dies is around 80 on R 45 N Scale and hence withstands high abrasion. NTB's advanced design will allow the material to pass through it very smoothly. In a hardened steel die the pressure applied for extrusion is more than that applied in case of a ceramic die and as such the steel die wears out faster than a ceramic die. The surface finish of the lead will be uniform and smooth when extruded using a ceramic die than that of a steel die. Various designs of metal housings are available. Special sizes and designs can be manufactured according to customer requirement.

Grinding Media/Liners
NTB CERATUFF high density grinding media is made from high - alumina materials using advanced media technology. They retain their shape better and last much longer than flint or porcelain media with outstanding performance in both wet and dry grinding operations. Their higher density achieves faster grinding and more efficient dispersion due to the finer particle size distribution of the milled material.
NTB CERATUFF grinding balls and rods have a fired density of 3.65. They are inorganic.. nonmetallic.. non-oxidizing.. impervious to liquids.. highly resistant to most alkalies and acids..prevent coloration and damage to powders. Also, their non-porous, satin-smooth finish facilitates cleaning.
